Fit Notes
The Bowcho Pants are designed for volume. Here's what to expect.
The waist uses a structured 1.5" waistband with belt loops and a button/zip fly — just like your favorite workwear pants. This means each size has a smaller stretch range than elastic waists. The "relaxed" measurement is the true waist; "stretched" is the comfortable maximum with the nylon's natural give.
The thighs and legs are generously cut for a relaxed, workwear-inspired silhouette — roomy through the leg but structured at the waist. These are not slim pants. The relaxed fit is the point. Don't size up for extra room in the legs—it's already there.
The hem is a clean, straight finish — no drawcord, no cinch, no elastic. The leg opening sits naturally over your shoe. For a slightly shorter look, you can do a single cuff fold. The straight hem keeps the silhouette clean and workwear-authentic.
With the structured belt-loop waistband, we recommend going true to size. The heavyweight nylon has some natural give, and the relaxed leg fit means the legs work across a range. When in doubt, measure your waist and compare to the chart above.
How to Measure
Grab a soft tape measure and follow along. Measure over lightweight clothing or underwear for best results.
Measure around your natural waistline, where you'd normally wear your pants. Keep the tape snug but not tight. This measurement corresponds to the "Waist Relaxed" column. The structured waistband has some give from the nylon stretch, up to the "Waist Stretched" value.
Stand with feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and buttocks. Keep the tape level all the way around. This is typically 7–9 inches below the waist.
Sit on a flat chair and measure from the waistband at the front, straight down to the seat of the chair. This determines how the pants sit at the front.
Same seated position, but measure from the waistband at the center back down to the seat. A longer back rise means more coverage and comfort, especially when bending and climbing.
Measure the circumference of your thigh at the widest point, typically right below the crotch. Stand relaxed with your weight evenly distributed. The Bowcho thigh measurement is the garment's full circumference at this level.
Measure around your knee with your leg slightly bent. The Bowcho pants are very generous here for full mobility during climbing.
Measure around your ankle where the pant hem falls. The Bowcho Pants have a clean straight hem, so the leg opening is fixed at the listed measurement. You can do a single cuff fold for a slightly shorter look.
Measure from the crotch seam straight down to the hem along the inner leg. Stand straight with shoes off. This is the most important length measurement for determining pant break and drape.
Measure from the waistband at the side seam straight down to the hem along the outer leg. This is the total length of the pant from top to bottom.
