Product
Bowcho pants are made from heavyweight 4-way stretch nylon/spandex with a DWR (durable water repellent) coating to shed light rain and resist stains. The contrast panels use a lighter weight nylon or canvas for a subtle texture difference. The decorative side trim is woven jacquard with an artisan ethnic pattern.
The Bowcho Pants have a standard belt-loop waistband with a relaxed, wide-leg fit through the legs. Generous room in the thighs for climbing mobility, with a straight silhouette from knee to ankle and a clean straight hem. The fit is structured and workwear-inspired — relaxed but not shapeless.
Each pair features a decorative woven trim strip running vertically alongside the cargo pockets. The trim uses an ethnic-inspired geometric pattern in earthy, coordinating tones. It's a handcrafted detail that makes each pair distinctive and adds an artisan quality you won't find on other climbing pants.
Absolutely. The Bowcho Pants are built for climbing first. They feature a gusseted crotch for full mobility (high steps, heel hooks, whatever you need), 4-way stretch nylon that moves with you, and DWR coating to handle chalk dust and light moisture. They're designed for bouldering and sport climbing, and they work just as well on the wall as they do everywhere else.
Each Bowcho colorway pairs a dark primary with a lighter contrast. Angular rectangular panels on the outer thighs and lower legs create bold, architectural two-tone color blocking. The five colorways — Earth, Forest, Stone, Clay, and Dusk — are each inspired by natural landscapes. The result is distinctive and earthy — interesting enough that people will ask about them.
Machine wash cold with like colors, tumble dry low. The DWR coating will last through many washes, but you can refresh it periodically by running the pants through a warm dryer cycle for 20 minutes. Avoid fabric softeners as they can reduce the DWR effectiveness.

Brand
Bowcho was founded by Alexander Bricken in Portland, Oregon. It's designed for climbers who want pants that look as good off the wall as they do on it — no more choosing between performance and style. Read more on our About page.
The Bowcho Pants are responsibly manufactured. Full details on our production partners will be shared as we finalize the first run.
We're committed to reducing our footprint where we can. The DWR coating is fluorine-free (PFC-free), and the ripstop nylon is built to last — durable products that don't need replacing are the most sustainable choice. We'll continue sharing more about our practices as we grow.
